EXCELLENT55 reviewsSURFDAO2024-09-16This is not a luxury living but I this is a very rear and unique experience this place. Being on the Island I sometimes forgot what country I was in! Sense of time and even perception of reality is very different here. People here are unique in their own way. Sceneries are mind blowing! 🏝️😍 Despite some difficulties associated with the environment I felt like I’m at very secluded and special place at all times. The absence of distracting external social factors creates a unique opportunity for internal transformation for everyone here. 🧘🏻♀️🍀🏝️🏄🏼 P.S. of course lots of surfing and surf improvement (if you have a coach 😉). This place provides variety of fun waves at all swell and tide conditions (intermediate + level).Peter Van Ryan2024-09-15What an incredible place! Considering the isolation they have done an amazing job to build consciously and reach a high level of sustainability. The waves in the area are amazing, the water clarity incredible also! Staff & management did an amazing job to provide an awesome experience in a wild, raw part of Indonesia. 👌🙏Dominika Horníková2024-09-15Just came back from a recent holiday at Pinang Island. This place is such a treat. Remote island shared with friends only, immersed in the nature, enjoying uncrowded waves just around the corner with more options of beautiful jungly spots just a little further by the boat. I noticed the crew was always handling the boards with extra care and went out of their way to make sure we have everything we need. Our guide Jacob was very knowledgeable and always ensured we got the most out of the swell, manager Petra was so lovely, creating a warm homie vibe and making sure everyone is happy. The local ladies cooked delicious and fresh meals for us every day. There is an option to go for a walk through the jungle, go snorkeling, spearfish or walk around the island. There’s also a beach volley course. Very cool place, unique experience, would definitely recommend.Michael Renga2024-08-27We had a great stay on Pinang Island! This isn't a luxury resort, but it's a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with nature and experience the island's authentic charm. The natural beauty is breathtaking—stunning beaches, lush greenery, and a serene atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxing escape. Stephan and his team are attentive, accommodating, and genuinely passionate about making your stay memorable. If you're looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure that prioritizes tranquility and simplicity over extravagance, Pinang Island is the perfect getaway. Highly recommended for those who appreciate nature and culture!Isaac Arkadieff2024-08-21The staff on the island were super friendly and helpful. Jakub, our surf guide, was an especially great guy, and all the staff were very welcoming. Playing volleyball with the locals after a day of surfing was a really good experience. Overall, this was a fantastic time for an Indonesia holiday destination.Brett Harris2024-08-21Amazing experience !!!thanks to all the staff that made our stay a dream come true !! If you are looking for an uncrowded surf spots, beautiful nature, friendly people and atmosphere, and you are looking for an adventure somewhere out of civilization, you have to visit this place for sure. -Lovely team -colorful snorkeling -one of the best waves in indo -starling internet -good local food 1 thing to improve, guys: Put small USB fans on top of beds, which can close inside, cause it’s really uncomfortable and sweaty to sleep sometimes when it’s warm weather. P.S. try more experiments with food. Diversify would make your place even better and don’t stop to improve🙏Christiaan Berg2024-08-05Pinang Review As a child you probably have drawn Pinang Island many times just from your imagination. Yes, Pinang Island is exactly what to expect from a picture perfect secluded island: white sandy beaches, amazing shells to be found at the beach and coconut trees hanging over the beach break and the most blueish/turqoise sea you probably have ever encountered. We where traveling with a family of four of which, two girls in the age of seven and 10, and had a truly amazing time. Yes, it takes time to get there, but getting to the less traveled places, takes time and effort was our conclusion. Pinang Island is postcard material with a very professional staff that cooks you three healthy and nourishing meals a day. Please be aware that most of the island is genuine jungle so the huts should be somewhat considered as camping outdoors. You will have the perks of a private bathroom with a good shower and a sitting toilet and a fan for the night and even Wi-fi. During our stay we were able to catch sight of the following wild animals: -Flying fishes during our boat trip. -Dolphins during our boat trips. -Reef Sharks during our boat trip. -A Whale passing in front of the joined space. -Sea turtles that frequently passed by in front of the joined space at set times. -Sand Crabs. -Monitor Lizards. -Many Tropical fishes in all forms and shapes including Nemo and Dory. -Coral reefs. Pinang Island is your destiny if you want to have an adventurous and bucket list experience. Yes, this is a very positive review and we would be more than happy to verify the above in person if you feel the need. We hope to go back to Pinang Island at least once in this lifetime.
